The people from the city and county of Viljandi can now present their tests in the city centre of Viljandi.
In 2005 Quattromed HTI laboratory opened a blood sample collection office in Leola street working three days a week. It was a chance to give the patients a possibility to perform tests for their health check (blood, urine etc) which were sent to the laboratory of Tartu for examination.
Now laboratory in Viljandi was olened , address Turu 8/10, room 216.
The laboratory is open on every workday 8–14. There is an elevator in the house for making testing available for people with small children or patients with mobility disabilities.
The laboratory of Viljandi serves patients both with or without the doctor’s prescription. The patients without the doctor’s prescription are charged for the tests according to the price list of the Estonian Health Insurance Fund.
On March 1, from 12.00 to 13.30, the laboratory was open to the public, so everybody interested could get acquainted with the laboratory. In connection with the opening of the laboratory, 24 family doctors and nurses were provided a training about the possibilities of the laboratory, the innovations in the diagnostics of venereal diseases, the possibilities of microbiology and the interpretation of the referential values. The training took place in the conference centre of the Centrum Hotel and it was free of charge for the audience.
