Starting from October 14, 2025, the reference range for lipoprotein(a) will be changed

Dear Partner,

 

Starting from October 14, 2025, the reference range for lipoprotein(a) will be changed in accordance to the guideline of the European Society of Cardiology and the European Atherosclerosis Society ”2025 Focused Update of the 2019 ESC/EAS Guidelines for the management of Dyslipidaemias”, published on 29 August 2025.

Reference range change:

  • Previous reference range: < 75 nmol/L
  • New reference range from October 14, 2025: < 105 nmol/L

 

At Lp(a) values ≥105 nmol/L the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases increases significantly.
